Chris – Fractional IT Director

Product and technology leader Chris Nourse is an MBA-qualified CTO and Head of Product with a proven track record of aligning technology systems, processes and software design with commercial operations. Chris started in operations leadership at Multicom Products Ltd from 2013 to 2016 as Head of Operations and Delivery, solving critical service delivery issues and managing teams through the company’s acquisition by Paxport.

As CTO at Paxport from 2016 to 2020, Chris successfully migrated infrastructure to Google Cloud, handling 2,000 requests per second while reducing annual costs from £1.5m to £1.1m — a £400k+ annual saving with materially better resilience. He then served as CTO at Kaptio Travel as a member of the Board responsible for global technology strategy and architecture, reducing delivery timescales from five months to six weeks through Agile transformation.

Today, Chris is Head of Product at Building Research Establishment Limited, leading product strategy and delivery for a major building science and research organisation. An enthusiastic proponent of Agile methodologies, he specialises in software architecture, cloud migration, GDPR/PCI compliance, product management and Site Reliability Engineering — ideal for businesses looking to drastically shorten product delivery cycles, modernise infrastructure or unlock significant cost savings from cloud.
