Fractional CFO and Finance Director Alan Clarke FCMA brings over a decade of senior finance leadership to growing UK businesses, with deep specialism in logistics, supply chain and healthcare. His career took shape at Movianto UK Limited, where as Finance Director he managed all financial and legal aspects of a £50m turnover healthcare logistics business, overseeing a £500m billing and credit function and negotiating major contracts with brands such as Tesco, Jaguar Land Rover and TK Maxx.

Alan went on to spend five years as Finance Director at Mini Clipper Limited, leading the finance function for a national logistics, transport and warehousing provider, before moving into portfolio fractional work. As a Financial Director at The CFO Centre UK from 2021 to 2024, he served part-time as CFO for a wide variety of clients drawn from the firm’s global network of senior finance leaders, broadening his exposure across pharmaceuticals, fashion, retail and professional services.

Today, Alan runs his own practice, Plover Accounting Solutions, providing independent fractional CFO and FD services to CEOs and MDs who want to focus on growth while leaving the finance function in safe hands. He specialises in cash flow optimisation, profit improvement, internal controls, banking relationships and securing investment or funding for SMEs — bringing the rigour of a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants to every client engagement.
